I am a 2010 graduate of Auburn University Montgomery (AUM) where I earned a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education.  In 2013, I earned a Master's Degree from Auburn University in Early Childhood/Elementary Special Education/Collaborative Education.

I have been working in the education system for 11 years.  I have worked both as a paraprofessional as well as certified educator.  I began my work experience in Chambers County Schools in 2005 as a paraprofessional. In fall of 2006, I transferred to Auburn City Schools as a one-to-one paraprofessional for special education where I worked until 2009 when I left to complete my internship for my Bachelor's degree.  In the fall of 2010, I began working at Lanett City schools as fifth grade math teacher.  While at Lanett I taught math remediation and special education.  In the fall of 2016, I will begin a new journey as a Resource Teacher for Lee County Schools.

Hi, my name is Jennifer Norris.  I am originally from Northeast Georgia where I grew up on my family's chicken farm. I have been residing in Alabama since 2002 and have grown to love this place very much. I have been working in the education system for the past 11 years.  I love teaching and believe that every child is capable of learning an succeeding when provided a safe and encouraging environment which is what I strive to provide students on a daily basis.  I am a huge animal lover, I have a pit/lab mix named Chloe who is almost 8 years old.  I recently lost my sweet lab named Jade who was 14 years old.

I am so excited to be starting this new journey at South Smiths Station Elementary and helping students to reach their goals in the academic setting.
